If you haven’t heard of periscope here’s what their website www.periscope.tv, says about who they are:
“Just over a year ago, we became fascinated by the idea of discovering the world through someone else’s eyes. What if you could see through the eyes of a protester in Ukraine? Or watch the sunrise from a hot air balloon in Cappadocia? It may sound crazy, but we wanted to build the closest thing to teleportation. While there are many ways to discover events and places, we realized there is no better way to experience a place right now than through live video. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but live video can take you someplace and show you around.”
Cool concept I thought. So I signed up and checked it out. This morning there wasn’t that much real excitement going on but it was a window into the places and daily lives of people all around the world. Infact on the app they have a map of the world with red dots indicating the number of videos to view currently from certain areas. It’s pretty cool. I’ve really just scratched the surface, but the concept and the talent and experiences people can share with this app is a great way to check out whats happing world wide!!
